The Write Stuff: The Queen’s Hat

This input is to be used alongside The Write Stuff Year 1 unit plan ‘The Queen’s Hat’ to teach from and model writing. This unit has been adapted for Year 1 from the planning to include 2 learning chunks as opposed to 3. Some of the sentences have been adapted to make them more Year 1 appropriate and linked to the National Curriculum e.g. removal of dialogue. This includes a space to record vocabulary and visuals from the text to support talk partner discussion and language building across each plot point.
